Milky Way Cookies

Iheartnaptime.com

Can you ever really have too many cookie recipes? Cookies are a huge hit around our house. Maybe because I have a crew of boys at my house at any given time and there is nothing better to grab as your running outside to play games or when your sitting around the tv. Whenever we have family parties its also a staple too because we have so many grandkids around that its just easier and less messy. I know whenever we go on a vacation I would rather bring homemade cookies over store boughten any day. There is nothing better than being able to whip out cookies from home when you are miles and miles away. Hope you are having a great summer and you can enjoy some of these little morsels of goodness.

2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 Cup sugar
3/4 Cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 3/4 Cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
35 mini milky ways, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl cream the butter and sugars with a mixer. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients along with the chopped milky ways.
Scoop cookies onto a lined baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet then transfer to a cooling rack.

Mango Spiced Oatmeal Cookies

aroundmyfamilytable.com

Hi my name is Carolyn and I am addicted to dark chocolate. I would much rather have that over milk chocolate any day!!! You know some things are meant to be together like peanut butter & jelly, ketchup & french fries, bread & butter, milk & cookies, mashed potatoes & gravy, macaroni & cheese, bacon & eggs etc....well I believe dark chocolate & fruit are meant to be together. SO I added dark chocolate chips to this recipe. I mean come on chocolate doesn't ask silly questions...chocolate understands right!!!

1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
3/4 cup flour
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. baking powder
smidge of nutmeg
smidge of allspice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup diced mango (about 1 mango)
1 package dark chocolate chips or 2 cups

Preheat oven to 350F.

Mix the oats, flour, cornstarch, spices, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl

In a separate bowl, mix butter and sugars with a wooden spoon until light and fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla; mix until well combined.

Add the wet mixture into the oat mixture and stir until combined. Gently fold in the diced mango & chocolate chips.

Scoop out about 1 1 /2 Tbsp. of mixture, form into a loose ball, and place cookie dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350° F for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the cookies and place them on a cooling rack. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

Monster cookies

My husband says these cookies "are OFF THE HOOK!!" I however think there good. A cookie is a cookie, how can you go wrong? (Unless you put raisins in them) I took Paula Deans and The Pioneer Womans recipe of the monster cookie and combined them similar to another review. Besides a few other things I replaced the raisins (YUCK!) for pecans (YUMMM!)

3 eggs
1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
1 c granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 12-ounce jar creamy peanut butter
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 c. multi-colored chocolate candies
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/4-1/2 c. pecans, optional (or raisins)
2 tsp baking soda
3 cups quick-cooking oatmeal (not instant)
2 c. Rice Krispies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or nonstick baking mats.

In a very large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugars. Mix well. Add the salt, vanilla, peanut butter, and butter. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate candies, chocolate chips, raisins, if using, baking soda, and oatmeal. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. Do not over bake. Let stand for about 3 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool. When cool, store in large resealable plastic bags.

Sugar Cookie Bar

I seen this recipe on a fellow bloggers site and had to try it! It is so much easier than cutting out every cookie with a cookie cutter. After they were done I cut them up into squares and put them in my cookie jar unfrosted. We frosted them as we ate them. Thanks ladies for sharing!!

Double Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Cookies

Contributed by Carolyn from "Made Blog" Pictures have white chips but I prefer dark chips
1/2 Cup (1 stick) Butter--don't use margarine
1/2 Cup Vegetable Shortening
3/4 cups White Sugar
3/4 cups Brown Sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
2 cups Flour
3/4 cup Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
3/4 tsp Salt
2 cups semi-sweet chips (i used half white chips half reg choc chips)
1 cup pomegranate seeds (1 Pomegranate is more than enough) My tip for seeding a pomegranate: cut in half than turn seed side down over a bowl and take all you frustration out on the big guy and beat it with a metal spoon. Less mess, cuts the time in half, and separates well from the pulp.
In a mixer, cream together the butter, shortening, 2 sugars, vanilla, and eggs. Beat the mixture on medium-high for a full 3 minutes--this is important. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Combine it with the butter mixture and mix till everything is incorporated.
Add the pomegranate seeds and chocolate chips.
Dump in the chips and seeds and mix briefly to incorporate everything. A few seeds may burst while mixing but that's fine.Scoop the dough into 12 small balls on a cookie sheet with wax paper and bake at 350* for 10mins. An of course enjoy these melt in your mouth cookies!

Rolo Cookies (my momma)

The other day I had to have a treat for baseball and was planning on making cinnamon rolls (ourbestbites) but had absolutely no time! My awesome great sweet loving mother said I am making cookies can I help and just make extra for you....hmmmmm who would turn this down?????? NOT I lol!!!

SO I told my mom I needed about 3 dozen for 2 teams and extra for us during the game :) Well I should have known better. Mom showed up to the game with about 5 dozen cookies!!! I told you she is great! Well everyone enjoyed these cookies!

This recipe is sooooooo easy and everyone thinks your Betty Crocker cause you could make these!

1 pkg. Rolo's
1 box Devils Food Cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 c. oil

Ok so how hard could it be with only 4 ingredients right!?!?
Mix cake mix, oil, and eggs. Take a small ball of dough and form a ball around the rolo. Remember not to use a ton of dough or you wont have rolo spread throughout it, use as small amount as possible or just do test runs.

Place on greased cookie sheet and Bake @ 350 for 7-8 minutes. Yields about 3 dozen

MINI EGG COOKIES!!!!

I know I know do we really need to add more calories and carbs to our favorite Easter candy??? I just wanted to play with them a little but I have to tell you, when baking with these babies I learned they don't put out a strong chocolate flavor SO you need A LOT :) These cookies definitely need a cup of milk to go along with them that's for sure!!

1 cup butter or margarine softened (butter is always better in cooking)
3/4 c brown sugar, packed
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4-1/2 c. peanut butter
18 oz. pkg mini eggs, crushed up

Preheat oven to 375* Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla. Add eggs then mix well. Add peanut butter. Combine flour, salt, & baking soda. Add to cookie mixture and mix well. Fold in mini eggs. Scoop cookies onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. May look a little doughy but remember most cookies will continue to cook on your cookie sheet while they cool.
